TANCET Cut-off

The TANCET cutoff is the minimum qualifying score required for admission. It is calculated considering the total number of applicants, available seats, and exam difficulty.

A good score in TANCET depends on the cutoff set by top colleges. Securing between 90 to 95 percentile marks as a good score.

A good score depends on the specific course and college cutoffs. Generally, securing 60+ marks out of 100 for MBA and 55+ for MCA is considered highly competitive for admission into top-tier colleges in Tamil Nadu.

Madurai Kamaraj University offers admission to the MBA course via its affiliated colleges. For the OBC category candidates, the TANCET last round cutoff rank was 5331 for Senthil Kumar Nadar College, Virudhunagar and 5296 for The American College. 

Annamalai University accepts the TANCET scores for admission to the MBA course. In 2025, the TANCET cutoff score was 3212 for getiing admission to the MBA course. This cutoff score is valid for the students belonging to the General AI quota. For the OBC category students, the TANCET last round cutoff score was 5503. 

Some factors that influence TANCET cutoff scores include number of seats, difficulty level of exam, previous cutoff trends, number of test takers, performance of test takers, among other factors.

The Anna University MBA cutoff 2025 varies for different colleges, rounds, and categories. The MBA course is offered via affiliated colleges of Anna University, wherein the last round cutoff score for MBA admission stood at 5641 for Selvam Educational Institutions, 5632 for Nehru Institute of Information Technology and Management and 5615 for M.A.M. Business School, Tiruchirappalli, for the students belonging to the General AI quota. 

TANCET exam cutoffs are released on the official counselling website. Candidates can check the TANCET cutoff from the previous year as soon as the counselling website is updated for the subsequent session. DTE Tamil Nadu releases TANCET cutoff m, arks as well as TANCET cutoff ranks separately for both MBA and MCA courses. There is no passing mark for TANCET exam. Anna University does not mention the qualifying status for the candidates in the results. All test takers for the TANCET exam find their actual marks and percentile score mentioned on their exam mark sheet. However, only the candidates who meet the cutoff scores set by participating colleges pass the TANCET exam. TANCET cutoff marks vary every year depending upon multiple factors.

For general category students, a percentage of at least 96% is required for PSG. For BC or MBC students, a score above 94% seems to be a good enough score and for SC/ SCA/ ST, it is 92% and above in general.
