A candidate needs to have completed B.Ed with a minimum of 50% marks. Also, the candidate needs to have a two-year teaching/ professional experience after the completion of B.Ed programme from a government/government recognised school/ NCTE recognized teacher education/ research institution education. Yes, you are eligible for this course.

Entrance Test:
Eligible candidates need to appear for BHU Postgraduate Entrance Test (BHU PET) conducted by the university.
Other eligibility criteria:
Candidates must have 50% marks or an equivalent grade in any of the following programs: B.Ed/ BA B.Ed/ B.Sc B.Ed/B.EI.Ed/ D.EI.Ed with an undergraduate/postgraduate degree (with 50% marks in each) or any equivalent grade.
Availability of Application Form: Last week of January 2019.
BHU PET 2019 Examination: 2nd week of May 2019

Application will be available from February 2019, and entrance exam will be conducted on May 2019 and result will be uploaded on the official website of the university.

It is indeed great to know a person who is interested in teaching profession. Of course, it is a very noble and good profession to be in. You get opportunity to shape up the mind of the future of the country and also simultaneously pursue some or the other research in your own domain. About your query about B.Ed. I can tell that B.Ed is required when you are thinking of teaching in schools. However, for teaching in colleges you require a minimum post-graduation in the subject and preferably M.Phil or Ph.D. So, my advice to you would be to take up post-graduation in your field of studies and after completion take up a job
