It is same as full time Ph.D. Please check the guideline on UGC website, as per UGC norms, part time Ph.D is not valid.

Hi Aisha,
Admission is not easy, many students apply and each have different profiles, some are more strong. So, universities will admit the best as per their admission policies and their standards. A consistent good performance is required, above 75% from 10th to 12th is what most top colleges prefer. Apart from good grades you must also show some extra curricular activities.

Hello Raj,
Yes, you can appear for the UGC NET, if you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the exam. You should have completed post-graduation with minimum 55% aggregate marks (for General) or 50% aggregate marks (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD) from the UGC Approved University. If you want to apply for the JRF NET exam than your age must not exceed 30 years (for General) or 35 years (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Women). For Assistant Professor there is no age criteria, you can apply whenever you want. If you fulfill all that requirements then you are eligible for the NET exam.
