Hi Deep, Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Master's degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories is 50%. Candidates who are appearing or awaiting results for their final year examination of Master's degree are also eligible to appear for UGC NET 2018. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and will be considered for JRF and Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor only when they pass their Masters exams with required percentage. For selection as teachers in government run schools Applicants must pass the CTET. The National Council for Teacher Education frames regulations and takes final decisions. CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted by CBSE and taken by aspirants aiming to become teachers in classes 1 to VIII, according to the guidelines of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).
Eligibility for teachers Classes 1-5 : XII and Dip Elem Ed (2 year) or XII and Bachelors Elem Ed (4 years) /Dip Spl Ed/ Graduation and Dip Ed (2 years)
Eligibility for teachers for Classes VI-VIII for Languages, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science etc. : Graduation and Dip Elem Ed (2 years) or B.Ed orB. ElemEd (4 years)or 4 year B.Ed/B.Sc Ed or Graduation and 1 year B.Ed Special Education
