The candidate should have a Post Graduate Degree from a recognized university with 50% Marks and Bachelor of Education B.Ed or B.A. B.Ed /B. Sc B. Ed from any institution recognized by NCTE with the subject concerned as a methodology subject. The candidate who qualified through Open University/ Distance Education is required to have recognition by the University Grants Commission, Distance Education Council (DEC), All India Council for Technical Education.

The age limit for admission to the Test is as under: For JRF NET, maximum 28 years (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (As per GOI central list, physically handicapped/visually handicapped and female applicants).

Follow a methodical pattern of studying for maximum benefits keeping the latest trends of paper in mind. Don't Follow single books. Try to study selective topic form Truemans & KVS Madan Book. The NET Exam is conducted every year and several candidates appear in the exam every year. The cutoff marks for JRF and Lectureship is different. The JRF Exam Cutoff is generally high as compared to the Lectureship.
If you clear the JRF cutoff, you are entitled or the JRF Scholarship for Research and Studies and if you clear the NET Cutoff (not JRF) you can avail career in the lectureship and Research by the NET scorecard.
