Yes the institute is less expensive as compared ton TUM. For all students, German and foreign alike, the annual tuition cost for UG courses is €1,000, and €1,500 for a PG course. The cost for undergraduate course at TUM is €1,500 each semester, and for a postgraduate program, it is €1,500 per year. However, the tuition fees at TUM applies to both domestic and international students. Also the cost of living near BUT is much more reasonable at about €7,715 annually.

According to student reviews, here are some of the tips for surviving at TUM:

  • Try not to miss lectures. When it comes to self-learning and attending lectures, both have their own importance
  • Learn the German language
  • Do not forget to socialize while studying
  • Start gaining company experiences via internship and thesis
  • Try to complete all the assignments
  • Get housing as soon as possible

As per the student alumni reviews on an unofficial source, given below are some of the things that would increase the chances of getting into TUM Germany:

  • Excellent academics, probably in the Top 5 of your class
  • Internships, job experience, or a research publication
  • Good GATE / GRE score, whichever is needed
  • TOEFL score of minimum 100
  • Excellent ad fantastic SOP

For the initial screening of the applications, TUM may look for the following:

  • The reputation of previous universities attended. The selection coordinator would usually open the website of the institutes mentioned in the CV to see what that particular university has been doing. In some case, they might look at the university’s accreditation
  • To get admission to TUM, the academic records are very important
  • International outlook in research and innovation is also checked. The CV gives the committee a good idea about your outlook, the fields where you have studied and the areas in which you want to specialize

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) should not be chosen for an MBA programme for the following reasons:

1. Business-oriented education: With programs in business administration, tourism management, communication, international business, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and digital business, EU Business School - Barcelona specializes in business-oriented education.Unlike TUM, a well-known public research institution in Germany with a strong emphasis on Science and technology, this is not the case.

Students who wants to do MS in FIM at TUM must submit the GMAT score to get admission. At least a GMAT score of 640 is needed if the students have obtained their undergraduate degree from India. Apart from a GMAT score, in order to apply to TUM, the applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics including Financial and Business Mathematics, Statistics or any other related field.
