No, TU Munich is not free for international students. The university does not charge any tuition fee, however, international students are supposed to pay only a semester fee.

Admission to a doctorate at TUM requires a university degree completed with above-average results, an equivalent state exam, or a Master's examination at a university of Applied Science.

Results are considered to be above average if studies got completed with an average grade of 2.5 or at a minimum passed with a grade of 'good'.

To get into MSc in Informatics at TUM, students are required to have a bachelor's degree and the successful completion of the so-called aptitude test. Students can apply to the master's degree via TUM Online. After the students have created their account at TUM Online, enter their personal data and information about their education, and upload the required documents.
