No, there is no any clothing and textile course available at GLD university. There is another course like fashion designing based programme available there.

Yes, you can work in any Design industry being a Textile Designer; however, switching your specialisation may take effort, time, or maybe extra qualifications. You may have to gain extra skills and experience in the field to switch your career.

A BDes in Textile Design is a 4-year-long professional UG-level programme in the Design field, whereas a BSc in Textile Design is a 3-year-long regular UG degree course, and a Diploma in Textile Design is a short-term course and can be pursued either at UG or PG level.
The difference between them is that the BDes is a highly recommended, in-demand course in the Design field with an in-depth knowledge of both the creative and practical parts of Textile Design. Meanwhile, a Diploma will provide detailed knowledge in a specific area, and a BSc is more inclined towards the technical aspect of the field.

It depends on the level of the Textile Design course you choose. Though it is not mandatory for candidates to have good drawing or sketching skills, having a basic knowledge of it is a must to grow and learn better. Nowadays, students are also inclined towards 3D Modelling, CAD software, Adobe, and other editing tools as well.
