Yes, Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course offered by TIAT Mumbai is DGCA-approved.  The institute is further recognised by many international organisations such as the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the General Civil Aviation Authority  (GCAA), and the Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority  (BCAA), among others. Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology Mumbai offers the AME, AML, BSc, and Aircraft Type Training A 320 Family courses.

As of now, the institute has disclosed the placement percentage and recruiters' details for 2024. Over 90% of the batch was placed in top-notch companies. The list of recruiters that were part of Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology placements 2024 included GMR Group, Aman Aviation, Singapore Airlines, Air India, and many others.
