Yes, a two-year postgraduate MCA degree course is available at Thapar University. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed-to-be University) offers an MCA programme for two years. The PG-level course is offered in a full-time mode. Admission to the TU is completely based on merit i.e., evaluated based on candidates' academic performance and scores in their graduation. The minimum eligibility criteria required by the university for MBA admission is candidates must secure at least 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate. Mathematics must be studied at the Class 12 level or the graduation level.

Yes, Thapar University follows a seat reservation policy for MBA courses according to the authorised government's seat reservation policy. The seats are reserved for the following categories, such as SC/ST, North Eastern, J &K migrant, NRI and 50 % Punjab Residents. Thapar University does not offer MBA seats through management quota, one has to follow the complete admission procedure and eligibility criteria to get admission to MBA courses.

MAT 2024 registration for August was over. The next phase of exams was completed in December 2024. The schedule of MAT 2024 registration for the December phase had started at the AIMA official website. The MAT PBT, CBT and IBT form submission deadlines of each session are usually different. Additionally, MAT sessions are also conducted on different dates.
