The documents that are required for admission to MCA courses at Thapar University are meant to be proof of educational qualification, etc. The names of the documents that candidates should bring at the time of a counselling or while applying for the course online are:
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheet
- UG marksheet (if applicable)
- Date of birth certificate
- Passport-size photograph
- Transfer certificate

Yes, the students who are in their final examination for a BCom degree can appear for an MCA at Thapar University. But those students must present their undertaking at the counselling stating that they are appearing at their own risk because their final examination result has not been announced, and must verify that they don't have any backlogs in previous semesters. In order to apply for the course, applicants can submit the application form via the official website of the university. Furthermore, based on the previous academic years, the classes normally started in the month of July every year. Thus, it can be determined that prior to july applicants can apply for MCA at Thapar University.

Yes, candidates can take admissions to the MCA course at Thapar University without CUET PG scores. Because the eligibility to get admissions to MCA is that candidates must complete their graduation from any stream with an aggregate of 60% (55% for reserved category). Moreover, the selection process is based on merit, which is evaluated on the basis of candidates' scores in their Class 10, 12, and graduation. Important thing to note is candidates are required to study Mathematics as one of the subjects in their Class 12 and graduation. Therefore, to get enrolled in MCA at Thapar University, CUET PG is not compulsory.

Each candidate who is a student of the MSc course at Thapar University is allowed to get the scholarship. However, to get the scholarship value, candidates are required to complete the certain eligibility requirements. The criteria is as follows:
