The eligibility criteria to get admissions into MSc courses at TIET are that candidates must complete their graduation/BSc degree according to the choosen specialisation. Moreover, check out the detailed eligibility requirements below:

Bachelor's degree with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST students)

Chemistry

Bachelor's degree with Chemistry with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST students)

Mathematics & Computing

Bachelor's degree with Mathematics with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST students)

Physics

Bachelor's degree in Science with an aggregate of 60% (55% for SC/ST students)

The admission process is based on merit, assessed on the basis of candidates' achieved scores in their Class 12 and graduation. Additionally, for the selection process, the university gives 40% weightage to Class 12 marks and 60% weightage to Graduation marks (aggregate marks to the pre-final year).

Thapar University cutoff 2026 is not available on a public platform for MBA admission. However, as per the past year's data collated from various unofficial sources, the CMAT cutoff percentile required for MBA in  Business Analytics was 75 for students belonging to the General AI quota.

As per the Thapar University NMAT cutoff 2024, the last-round cutoff for MBA in Finance course stood at 150 for admission to Thapar University for the General category students in the All India quota. So, the assumed expected cutoff for the upcoming admission session 2025 can stood at  for the General AI category candidates. Although, it is an estimated guess and the NMAT cutoff 2025 is subject to many factors such as competition, difficulty level of the exam, and previous year trend.

The cutoff for the MBA course at Thapar University in 2025 has not been released by the university yet. However, according to the given closing scores of NMAT for academic years 2023 and 2024, the ranks were the same. The only difference in NMAT scores can be seen in the comparison of the cutoff for the years 2022, 2023, and 2024.  For better reference, check out the below table:

The listed factors will be checked and considered by the authorities while determining the cutoff of Thapar University MBA - previous years' cutoff trends, difficulty level of exam, total number of qualified candidates, total number of candidates applying for a specific course or institute, number of seats available for admission, etc. After checking all of these factors, the authorities will prepare the Thapar University NMAT cutoff for MBA admission.

Currently, TIET has not released the cutoff for the BE course 2025 on the basis of JEE Main ranks/scores. However, to get an idea about the competitiveness of the cutoff in the previous years, candidates can check the below table:
