To get a seat in the BTech course at Thapar University, candidates can follow two ways, one is entrance-based and another is merit-based. Interested candidates can apply for TIET BTech admission either way. Thapar University's 50% of seats will be filled based on JEE Main scores and the rest 50% is based on the marks secured in the Class 12 examination. Check out the steps to get a seat in the BTech course at Thapar University below: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of TIET (thapar.edu).

Step 2: Click on “Admission 2025” and register.

Step 3: Fill out the application form by entering the required academic and personal details.

Step 4: Upload a scanned photo of the qualifying exam mark sheet and a passport-size photograph.

Step 5: Pay the application fee online via debit/ credit card or net banking.

The eligibility criteria is - 

Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.  For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.

Candidates for admission to Thapar University's (LM Thapar School of Management) MBA programme must have a bachelor's degree in any field with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for SC, ST, and PwD categories) or an equivalent CGPA from an accredited university. Professional credentials such as ACS, ICWA or CA can also be used to qualify applicants. Students in their last year may apply provisionally.

Valid results from the CAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, GRE or SNAP are required for admission. The Thapar Management Aptitude Test (TMAT) is an additional option for candidates. A video Statement of Purpose an interview, and an evaluation of academic background are all part of the process. The deadline for applications is June 10 2024.
