Both UT Austin and University of Chicago Law School are considered among the top 20 law schools in the United States and are ranked #17 & #5 respectively. 
 
Thus, it comes as no surprise, securing admissions at either, is not a cakewalk. UT Austin Law school's acceptance rate of 15.6% is marginally better than Chicago Law school's: 12.7%, making it relatively easier to secure admissions at.

According to the latest student enrolment data made by the university, the average LSAT scores of students who successfully enrolled as part of the Class of 2027 at UT Austin were in the range 167-172. 
 
With an acceptance rate of 15.6%, it is one of the most selective law school in the US to secure admissions at.

No, UT Austin is not a part of the original Ivy league, which comprise of the universities which are part of the eight private Northeastern Institutions. However, given its decent rankings and academic excellence, UT Austin is considered as a part of Public Ivy, offering Ivy level quality of education and experience to students from all across the globe. The university provide a lot of opportunities to students including, excellent academics, great access to alumni netwrok and a practical approach to learning using real world problems.
