Professor Barry Marshall and Professor Robin Warren are the Nobel Laureates of the University of Western Australia. Both of them have been awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine. Also, in 2024, Professor Barry Marshall was honored with China's most prestigious awards. this recognition was for his work promoting scientific and technological co-operation between China and Australia.

The employment rate of UWA, according to Graduate Outcomes Survey 2023 for international students, stands at 42.6% for foreign UG students, with a median full-time salary of INR 48 L. Whereas UWA employment rate for foreign PG students is 59.1%,  with a median full-time salary for the same being INR 61 L.

As per Graduate Outcome Survey 2023, the median full-time salary for international UG students is USD 55,500 or INR 48L, whereas the UWA employment rate for the same 42.6%. Similarly, the median full-time salary for PG students is USD 70,000 or INR 61L, with a UWA employment rate of 59.1% for the graduates

International students need to meet the high school coursework requirements which are based on the programs they are choosing.

Below are the UWA admission requirements for international students - 

  • International students are required to complete a high school diploma
  • An Australian Year 12 education
  • In high school, international students are required to have an understanding of subjects like Chemistry, Maths and Physics
