A gap of 1 to 2 years after 12th can be considered normal. Although the students should be able to address it via the valid documents. The reasons like health, finance, skill development or family are accepted.
And if the gap after the high school Diploma is beyond 2 years, strong documentation is required to justify the same. The documents like which shows productivity for which an SOP can serve great purposes.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.
Look at the other admission requirements -
- English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
- High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
- Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

To be eligible for admission at the University of Western Australia, international students are generally required to have a bachelor's degree for PG courses and a high school Diploma for UG courses. Look the UWA eligibility requirements given below -
- Academic transcripts
- English language proficiency with tests like IELTS, PTE or TOEFL
- Course-specific requirements like having knowledge of Math, Science or Chemistry for Engineering courses.

Yes, for international students there is a semester system available at the University of Western University. As per this, the students can apply for semester 1, which starts in the month of February.
It is also the most popular intake as this starts in the beginning of the year and offers many programs of students' choices at UG and PG level as well.

Professor Barry Marshall and Professor Robin Warren are the Nobel Laureates of the University of Western Australia. Both of them have been awarded the 2005 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine. Also, in 2024, Professor Barry Marshall was honored with China's most prestigious awards. this recognition was for his work promoting scientific and technological co-operation between China and Australia.

So, students who want to take admission to this university should have a good academic record. For admission to UG courses, Indian students must have passed Class 12. Also, students who want to take admission to PG courses of this university should have a Bachelor's degree. TOEFL / PTE / IELTS with minimum scores should also be submitted.

The employment rate of UWA, according to Graduate Outcomes Survey 2023 for international students, stands at 42.6% for foreign UG students, with a median full-time salary of INR 48 L. Whereas UWA employment rate for foreign PG students is 59.1%, with a median full-time salary for the same being INR 61 L.
