Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai is organized into several schools, each focusing on specific disciplines. These include the School of Social Work, School of Management and Labour Studies, School of Health Systems Studies, School of Development Studies, School of Education, School of Habitat Studies, School of Law, Rights, and Constitutional Governance, and School of Media and Cultural Studies. Each school at TISS offers specialised programs and research opportunities in its respective domain.

The duration of the BSc course at TISS Mumbai is around four years. The undergraduate programs enable graduation with a research degree after four years with one major discipline and two minors, either in disciplinary or interdisciplinary courses. Furthermore, the BA course offers different exit options. Students completing one year of the course are awarded a Certificate degree, on completion of two years a Diploma is offered, after three years a degree is awarded, and finally, after four years, candidates are awarded Honours with Research degree.

Find below the step-wise admission porcedure for the BSc course in TISS Mumbai:

1. Candidates must have a valid BSc eligibility criteria, i.e., Class 12 in any subject stream from a recognised board.
2. Apply for the CUET UG exam by visiting  the official website of the entrance exam.
3. Appear for the CUET exam.
4. After the CUET exam, the institute releases the merit lists and shortlists students based on the CUET scores.
5. Shortlisted students are required to participate in the counselling process.
6. Once the counselling done, candidates must finalise the seat by paying the TISS Mumbai BSc fees. 

TISS Mumbai offers BSc in only one specialisations, i.e., Analytics and Sustainability Studies. TISS Mumbai BSc is available in Analytics and Sustainability Studies. The UG-level programme is structured as per the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 with multiple exit options and transdisciplinary. BSc curriculum covers major subjects such as Social Sciences and Science, Technology, and Mathematical (STEM) disciplines, Fundamentals in Environmental Studies (STEM), etc.

TISS Mumbai accepts CUET exam scores for admission to its BSc course. Common University Entrance Test also known as CUET UG is a national level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to UG courses offered by participating institutes.

TISS Mumbai BSc admission is based on the national-level entrance exams, CUET UG, followed by a personal interview. For admission to TISS, candidates usually have to take the TISSNET entrance exam. However, for the academic year 2024, the exam has been canceled.

As per the Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai's admission guidelines admission to its bachelor's programme for the academic year 2024-25 will be through CUET (UG)-2024 conducted by NTA. Therefore, candidates must make sure to have a valid eligibility criteria for its BSc course, before applying for the CUET exam. Hence, admission to TISS Mumbai BSc course without CUET is not applicable. 

TISS admits not directly to its programmes. Rather, the prospective hires go through an all-inclusive process of selection, involving entrance examination, interviews and/or group discussions. This is done by evaluating the candidates according to academic qualifications, performance in the entrance examinations and programme specific requirements. The applicants must have passed the eligibility test and have to undergo the scheduled admission process.
