To get admission to BDes course offered by IIT Guwahati, candidates must attain the rank as per the category they belong to. IIT Guwahati UCEED cutoff 2025 has been released for the first and the second round for different categories of students in the AII India quota. In the first round, the cutoff rank for the General AI category candidates was 77. During the Round 2 of admission, the UCEED closing rank stood at 81 for B.Des admission. 

The table consists of the category-wise cutoff ranks for IIT Guwahati BDes admission for both Round 1 & Round 2:

Earlier, IIT Bombay announced the qualifying cutoff for UCEED 2024 alongside the UCEED 2024 results. For General category candidates, the passing marks for UCEED 2024 are set at 55.42. Additionally, on February 8, 2024, the UCEED 2024 cutoff was released in terms of mean and standard deviation.UCEED cutoff 2024 is released in the form of opening and closing ranks for admission to IITs. The Part A cutoff marks are released by IIT Bombay on February 8, 2024. The standard and mean deviations of the cut-off were made public. For Part-A (CEED 2024), the mean and standard deviation are 41.90 and 16.72, respectively. Comparatively, CEED 2023 had a mean deviation of 22.59 and a standard deviation of 11.82. The cut-off is utilised to determine which candidates are the shortest; take notice that only those who are shortlisted will have their Part B answer booklets examined. Furthermore, each candidate who makes the short list will receive a merit rank, making them eligible to take part in the seat allocation procedure.

The cut-off for UCEED is not out yet . It will be released during the seat allotment process. 

(Note: only the candidates qualifying the UCEED part A cut-off will be qualified to go for part B ).

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati B.Des admission is based on candidates' performance in the UCEED exam, followed by a councelling process. IIT Guwahati B.Des cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 3 Seat Allotment Result. As per the IIT Guwahati cutoff 2023, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks were 11 and 14, respectively for the ST category students. So, candidates seeking admisison to this institute must secure a rank between 10 and 15 to get a seat for B.Des.

The cut-off for Round I of UCEED 2025 will be released alongside the seat allotment results, around the 2nd week of April 2025. The cut-off would be released in the form of category-wise opening and closing ranks. Also, the cut-off would ne released for all give participating institutes. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria for Round I will get admission to the B. Des programme. However, if the candidate fails to meet the cut-off criteria, he or she will be considered for admission in subsequent rounds. Note that UCEED 2025 counseling will have five seat allotment rounds, and for each round a separate cut-off would be released.

The admission cut-off for UCEED 2026 will be released in last week of April, 2026. 

The seat allotment will be released online at the UCEED 2026- IIT Bombay admission portal uceed.iitb.ac.in.

To download the seat allotment-cum-cutoff, you need to click on the seat allotment download button given under B. Des 1st Round of Seat Allotment heading. Note that no log-in is required to download the seat allotment results pdf.

Candidates who are allotted seats have to accept the seat and pay the fees. Note that candidates were also given the option to withdraw their seats.

The closing rank for IIT Hyderabad was 43. So, if you secure a merit rank of 100 in the UCEED 2026 exam, you chances of admission to the B. Des will be very low. To have a good chance of admission into the institute, you must target a UCEED merit rank within the top 40. However, note that if you belong to reserved categories, in that case the cut-off would be lower. Further, you will be considered for admission under both the reserved category and open category.
