If the Indian students meet the baseline requirement, it is just the first step for Indian students. If the rejections still take place than the factor of the University at Buffalo being too competitive may be the reason. 

Below are some of the reasons for rejection - 

  • Lack of differentiation
  • Generic SOPs
  • Highly competitive programs
  • Poor academic fit

The UG admissions at the University at Buffalo is generally less competitive than the PG admissions for Indian students. 

However, all in all, it is not that difficult to get admission here as the acceptance rate is around 60 to 74%.

Yes, in the year 2025, the University at Buffalo is ranked by the Shanghai Rankings.

In Fall 2024, UB reported a total of 9,033 international students. The largest no. of international students hailed from India. More than 3,000 students hailed from India.

The Uni at Buffalo has 3 campuses in total, the North Campus, the South Campus, and Downtown Campus. The North Campus of the Uni at Buffalo is the largest  of three campuses. Student residence halls and most of the university's courses are available at this university's North Campus.
