Yes, it is one of the components of the application process. The application cannot be submitted without the application fee. The University at Buffalo charges a non-refundable amount USD 75-85 for the MS courses for International student which is approximately INR 7.1-8.1k.

The University at Buffalo has its own set of selection criteria which includes the Bachelor's Degree, standard test like GMAT/GRE or LSAT, at least 2 letter of recommendations and English proficiency test score (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, DET or CPE). The minimum GPA requirement is a minimum of 3.0 or higher to get an admission.
