According to a student from Glasgow, following are some helpful tips for the first year students.
- GU union is better than QM union. Majority opinion. Membership gives cheap entry to Hive (a nightclub).
- Make some friends on your course. If you miss a lecture they can fill you in.
- If you want a good seat in the library at exam time (with an electric socket) get there before 9.
- There are free teabags etc. available on floor 10 of library, courtesy of a caring librarian.
- Join as many societies as you like. It's a great way to make friends outside your course.
- Murano is a good Hall for a party but you might regret that during exam time.
