Yes, University of Glasgow permits international students to work while studying. Overseas students must be mindful of the fact that they can work no more than 20 hours per week while classes are in session and it is essential that this employment does not interfere with a their academic program. During vacations, they can work up to 40 hours per week.

Once a candidate has applied to the university and submitted all the required documents, it takes the university about 4 - 6 weeks to evaluate applications and send out the admission offers. As per the ratio of admissions to applications, the Uni of Glasgow acceptance rate is in the range 50 - 70%. Since, the stats are on the higher end, we can conclude that Glasgow Uni is a not a very competitive university to get in, as it admits more than half of the applicants.
