The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test is required for graduate admission at the University of Iowa for international students. For some programs, the GRE test score is not required for admission nor at any point during the program, but can strengthen your application for admission and scholarship eligibility.

International students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 to get admission at the University of Iowa. According to Iowa admission report, the Median GPA for class of 2027 is 3.83 on a scale of 4.0. Students also have a good academic profile and meet the other requirements for the University of Iowa admissions.
