Indeed, entrance tests are administered by the University of Madras to students wishing to enrol in specific undergraduate courses and doctoral programs. While the university does require an entrance exam for some postgraduate programs like M.Sc., M.A., M.Tech., and other specialised courses, many undergraduate courses, like B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com., are normally offered based on merit (academic credentials and marks gained in prior education).

However, MBA placements are fairly decent across Madras University's distance education for students, but not as strong as full-time MBA programs. The university also has provision for connecting distance students with companies through job fairs and other placement assistance. Most placement, however, for distance MBA students would be dependent on the individual's efforts, prior work experience, and networking. Even though distance MBA graduates often get jobs in marketing, finance, and HR, they are not as highly placed in high-paying jobs as regular MBA placements. It is ideal for working professionals who want to advance themselves

It provides an M.Sc in Geology. Part-time opportunities, however are not generally possible as the majority of these programs tend to be full-time as they comprise much practical component and work done in a lab setup during geology studies. The best is to ask at Madras University, whether they do have a part-time option or distance-learning possibilities open there for related areas. If part-time study is essential for you, consider exploring other universities that may provide flexible learning options or online courses in geology.
