Below are the requirements for the University of Maryland Baltimore County:

Undergraduate requirements:

  1. Applicants must submit a copy of their current high school marks, including an English translation.

  2. Official results of completion of national secondary school examinations

  3. If the applicant considers a scholarship, they must forward their scores to UMBC by education testing service.

  4. Considering that these students are 17 and above, applicants must provide a letter of support from parents or financial sponsors to the effect that she or he is willing to provide.

The University of Maryland Baltimore County does not mandate the submission of GRE scores as part of the application process. However, if applicants choose to submit their GRE scores, the university will give these scores significant weight in their evaluation. To send GRE scores, applicants must use ET’s submission method while submitting to the University of Maryland Baltimore country.

The University of Maryland Baltimore acceptance rate for the recent year was 74% which was 81% earlier. This concludes the university admission procedure has become tougher than before. However, students with good academic scores, high school GPA, standardized test scores, English language proficiency, relevant experience and extracurricular activity participation still have high probability of selection.

The University of Maryland Baltimore expects a GPA of 3 for pursuing PG programs and 3.96 for UG programs from international students. Along with the high school GPA, standardized test scores, English language proficiency and having a good academic history is equally crucial for selection at UMBC. In addition, international students with relevant experience and extracurricular activity participation have more chances of selection.

No, to get into UMBC Masters of Professional Studies in Data Science, GRE is not required. The admission requirements to get into this course are given below:

  • A bachelor’s degree in any subject
  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • Applicants without previous post-secondary education in Statistics, Calculus, or Basic Programming should take these courses at a university or community college before submitting the application
  • English language proficiency score

Yes, students can get counselling for free if they want to get into the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Students are assigned a designated education counsellor who remains in touch with the applicants throughout the admission process. No, GRE is not required for UMBC MS in Information Systems. Other admission requirements for this course are given below:
