International UG applicants need to apply through either the Common Application or the StandOut Network Application portal. Only one application from either of the portals will be accepted. Do not submit applications on both portals as the university may reject your application altogether.

UMD chose to be test-optional for 2022 and 2023 admissions, hence, fewer students submitted their SAT or ACT scores. Around 2,016 students who applied for UMD admissions were exempted from submitting their test scores for undergraduate admissions in the Fall 2022 session. Students who still wished to submit their SAT and ACT scores reportedly had scored an average of around 1420 on the SAT and 33 on the ACT. The average high school GPA of UMD students enrolling in Fall 2022 for an undergraduate course was 4.47.
