Furthermore, as per another top-ranking publisher, this university ranks at #19 position. As per this ranking, UNSW ranks among the Top 20 position in QS rankings. UNSW Sydney ranked among the world’s best for 47 subjects. The 2024 QS subject rankings place 19 of the university’s subjects in the Top 50 worldwide and 10 in No. 1 in Australia. Six UNSW subjects are ranked in the Top 20 globally and 19 are in the Top 50. Mineral and Mining Engineering maintained the highest rank at 3rd in the world, an improvement from 4th position in 2023.

UNSW has ranked #19 in 2025 QS World University Rankings. It has retained its spot in the Top 20 Universities in the world as in 2024 too, it ranks at the same position i.e. #19. In Times Higher Education (THE) World University rankings 2025, this university ranks at #83 position, whereas in 2024, it ranks at #84. This shows that there has been an improvement in THE rankings.  Furthermore, in U.S. News & World Report Global Universities ranking, UNSW ranks at #36 position for 2024-25 rankings. In the QS World University rankings, UNSW rank is #19 in 2024 as well as 2025. Considering all the world rankings, it can be said that UNSW ranks among the Top 100 Universities of the World.

The University of New South Wales offers a security system available 24/7 ensuring the safety of the students and the staff at the university. The university also offers free shuttle bus services operating at night time as well to ensure the security of the students. The university also advises its students to download the SafeZone app to stay updated about the latest alerts and advice going around the university. The University of New South Wales also has CCTVs installed across the UNSW campuses to ensure constant surveillance and safety of the students at all times.
