These results are as per the Graduate Outcomes Survey Longitudinal, which is completed 3 after the students leave the university. For postgraduate, UNSW Sydney leads the Go8 for full-time employment 4-6 months after the graduation and 91% is the employment rate. UNSW Sydney ranked among the world’s best for 47 subjects. The 2024 QS subject rankings place 19 of the university’s subjects in the Top 50 worldwide and 10 in No. 1 in Australia. Six UNSW subjects are ranked in the Top 20 globally and 19 are in the Top 50. Mineral and Mining Engineering maintained the highest rank at 3rd in the world, an improvement from 4th position in 2023.

UNSW has ranked #19 in 2025 QS World University Rankings. It has retained its spot in the Top 20 Universities in the world as in 2024 too, it ranks at the same position i.e. #19.
