The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is widely regarded as a renowned and respected university. With an acceptance rate of around 60%,  the University of New South Wales is somewhat selective in admissions of international students. According to the QS World Rankings 2024, the University of New South Wales has a world ranking of #19 in 2023, it has a ranking of #45.

University of New South Wales accepts country-specific qualifications from Indian students and they must be fulfilled by the applicants in order to secure an enrollment in USW. Students can refer to the listings below for the USW's entry requirements according to the choice of course:

Undergraduate Courses:

  • An overall average of 60 - 65% or above in the 12th Standard depending on board the candidate has studied from.

Postgraduate Courses:

  • An overall average 3 Year degree (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, BCA, etc.) at 60% (or CGPA of 6.0/10) from a recognised Indian university for entry to a relevant postgraduate program.

Students interested in applying for a scholarship will have to mention the same on their admission application and choose the scholarship application round which they feel is convenient. The university will then consider your scholarship application along with the other applications which are received during your selected round.
