University of New South Wales

University of New South Wales accepts country-specific qualifications from Indian students and they must be fulfilled by the applicants in order to secure an enrollment in USW. Students can refer to the listings below for the USW's entry requirements according to the choice of course:

Undergraduate Courses:

• An overall average of 60 - 65% or above in the 12th Standard depending on board the candidate has studied from.

Postgraduate Courses:

• An overall average 3 Year degree (B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, BCA, etc.) at 60% (or CGPA of 6.0/10) from a recognised Indian university for entry to a relevant postgraduate program.
• An overall average of 4- or 5-Year degrees (B.E, BTECH, B PHARM, B.Arch, etc.) at 55% (or CGPA of 5.8/10) from a recognised Indian university for entry to a relevant postgraduate program.
• 50% (or CGPA 5.5/10) minimum from the following Indian universities: University of Mumbai, University of Delhi, University of Pune, Jadavpur University, or University of Calcutta

English Language Requirements:

• HSC (12th standard) English at 65-70% or above, depending on which board the candidate has studied from; OR
• IELTS with an average overall score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component; OR
• TOEFL with a score of 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking, and 17 in writing; OR
• PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI with a score of 64 overall and 59 in each component; OR
• USW English test (known as the Password test) – this is a free English test that can be completed in India.

Note: USW also offers English language preparation courses if the IELTS score is below the entry requirements.
