The University of Northern British Columbia has implemented an online Housing application and monitoing process. It allows international students to apply for accommodation at UNBC online through the comfort of their home. However, before applying for an accommodation at UNBC, international students must meet the below given conditions.
- You must be at least 17 years old by the end of your first semester living in UNBC Housing
- To be eligible for Housing you must be registered in a minimum of 1 UNBC course for each semester you live in Residence
- All students under the age of 19 must have a parent or guardian sign the Residence Contrac

The University of Northern British Columbia sets rigorous English Proficiency requirements to ensure academic excellence and effective communication to ensure academic excellence for both UG and PG courses. UG applicants must have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, a TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher, with a writing sub score of 20 or more.
