Working area and job opportunities for planners:
1) Government Sector: Planners are employed by Development Authorities for making Master Plans, Land Use Plans and Development Plans. Apart from Development Authorities there is Town and Country Planning Department known as TCP department under state government. It can be a part of development authority, municipality or a separate division in itself. You might have heard of Planning Commission.
