Not all US universities have strict SAT cutoffs for admissions. Colleges will not usually explicitly mention them per se. Rather most of them in their school reports mentioning SAT score range of the admitted students in the previous year. So this can be referred to for reference when applying for admissions in the USA.

Usually, Fall intake in USA begins in September and can go up to January end. The classes of the Fall intake in USA begins in September of the next year. So if you have to apply for Fall intake of USA in 2026, you will have to begin preparing from September 2025 and by the time the process finishes, it will be September 2026 when classes initiate.

Fall intake is a popular choice for studying in the US for the following reasons:

Fall intake in USA definitely will provide you will with a wider range of degrees and courses. Moreover, there is higher availability of scholarships, loans, etc. that can ease your financial burden. The number of seats available for a course are usually higher in fall intake, thereby increasing your chances of selection. Following is a broad list of documents that are required during your US student visa interview:
- A valid passport
- Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160) confirmation page
- Fee payment receipt
- Photograph
- Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status, Form I-20, or M-1 (as the case may be)
- Additional documents include: academic transcripts, test scores, intention to depart the US after the completion of your course, and your financial proofs

Students, who are eligible for F and M visa, can receive their visa up to 120 days before the beginning of their academic course. However, they cannot enter the US more than 30 days before the commencement date of their program. This means that if they plan to enter 60 days or 45 days before the beginning of their program, they cannot do so.
