Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai Admission Process

Candidates need to pass VITMEE for admission to VIT Chennai M.Tech programme. VITMEE is a two hour multiple-choice test. The computer based test consists of 100 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Aspirants who score well in VITMEE need to further participate in online counselling and seat allotment process. Aspirants must also pass Class 10, Class 12/ Diploma and UG degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate for admission.

• Community Certificate (for candidates who belong to the SC/ ST category)
• Nativity Certificate (for Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and North Eastern state candidates)

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc programme at VIT Chennai can get direct admission to the programme as the institute accepts the qualifying examination marks. However, candidates are required to appear for the Personal Interview round if they wish to take admission to the BSc in Economics Hons programme.
