VIT Chennai application process is conducted online. Aspirants fulfiling the eligibility requirements can follow the below steps to apply for admission:

Chennai course admission.

Step 1: Visit the official website, i.e., chennai.vit.ac.in

Step 2: Go to the "Admission section", select the apply now and click on the respected course name for further application. 

Step 3: Register yourself by clicking on “New Applicant”
Step 4: Verify your registered E-Mail address by using the OTP received from VIT
Step 5: Once OTP is validated, a password will be sent to your registered E-Mail address (Keep this E-Mail ID and password secure until the admission process is complete)
Step 6: Fill out the application form
Step 7: Pay the non-refundable application fee of INR 600 online using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or Paytm
Step 8: Upload the Age Proof Certificate, and Class 12 Marksheet (if available)

VIT Chennai MBA admissions take place through CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT and ATMA entrance scores. Candidates who want to apply for an MBA at VIT Chennai should appear for these exams and apply for admission to the university. After shortlisting the admission process goes through the following steps:

1.     Apply for VIT Chennai through CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT and ATMA entrance score.

2.     Appear for Personal Interview with faculty

3.     Pay the course fee to secure admission.

VIT Chennai shortlists candidates based on CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT and ATMA entrance scores. Candidates who want to apply for an MBA at VIT Chennai should appear for these exams and apply for admission to the university. Only candidates who have a valid CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT and ATMA entrance score are eligible to apply for an MBA.

The scores for the entrance exam are only used for shortlisting of candidates. The admission into the programme takes place through a personal interview, after the shortlisting of candidates. The selected candidates who appear for the counselling and document verification process must submit the following documents in original form for verification at the time of admission as mentioned below:

• Copy of Provisional Admission Letter
• Copy of any age proof certificate or aadhar card
• Class 10 marksheet
• Class 12 marksheet
• Transfer Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate
• Migration Certificate 
• Community Certificate (for candidates who belong to the SC/ ST category)
• Physical Fitness Certificate
• Nativity Certificate (for candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura)
• Passport size photograph

Candidates must also carry one set of photocopy of all original documents.
