1- At Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology for Architecture Course, the first-round cutoff was 355-422 for OBC-NCL candidates.
2- At Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology for Architecture Course, the Second-round cutoff was 422-489 for OBC-NCL candidates.

Civil is a good branch, you have so many interesting subjects to learn, many people choose to avoid giving civil a preference 'cause they think Civil me placement nahi hota' 'Construction site par kaam karna padega .But civil has so many sub branches (Structural, Environmental, Transportation, Water Resources, Construction technology, etc) which gives a good opportunity for further studies.
I agree that the placement scenario of civil is poor if you compare it to Mech, CSE, ECE, EEE , but if you are good with your subjects it shouldn't be a problem.

No one can accurately predict the opening and closing ranks for a particular college. It depends on your branch and category. You can have a look at last year's opening and closing ranks. That should give you a fair idea.

VNIT Nagpur is not offering aeronautical course. Here is the list of course it offers, 1. Computer Science and Engineering 2. Chemical Engineering 3. Electrical & Electronics Engineering 4. B. Architecture 5. Metallurgical and Materials Engineering 6. Electronics and Communication Engineering 7. Civil Engineering 8. Mechanical Engineering 9. Mining Engineering There are only few good colleges in India which offer aeronautical engineering. Hope it helps.
