No, VNIT Nagpur admits students only through the entrance exam. National-level entrance exams for B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and MCA courses include JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM, and NIMCET. To get admitted, candidates must pass these exams and participate in the appropriate counselling procedures. The eligibility requirements and selection process are based on exam results and counselling sessions such as JoSAA Counselling, CCMT, and CCMN. VNIT Nagpur does not offer direct admissions; all admissions are made through these entrance tests and counselling processes.

GATE scores are used to determine admission to the VNIT Nagpur M.Tech programme, and CCMT counselling comes next. Candidates must have completed a suitable undergraduate degree in order to be considered for this course. Nevertheless, there is no set age limit to apply for the GATE exam, nor is there a minimum percentage requirement at the undergraduate level.
