I am afraid that Diploma holders are not allowed admission in NIT but they are allowed admission in IIT. This is a very typical situation but drivelling at the moment. Perhaps the time has come for parents to exert pressure on the government to allow Diploma holders to take admission in NIT is

If the candidate wants to keep the seat allotted but also wants to participate in the next round of counselling, he can choose the float option. This way, you can choose either seat allotted. So if your seat has not upgraded yet, please wait for upcoming rounds of counselling.
