The competition is less as compared to CAT and XAT. GMAT opens the door for almost all the universities in abroad as well as top ranking universities in India. If you are planning to study MBA from abroad, then GMAT is the only option.
If you wish to study in India, you have to appear for CAT exam. If you belong to general category, then you will have to score above 710 marks to get into top universities of India.

The cut-off for BIMTECH is 70 percentile and above and with a score of 76 you have a sure chance of getting a call. So, I suggest you please go ahead and apply.

For the time being, you can start the generic preparation. Keep your self updated with current affairs, work on your CV, prepare for some behavioral question, etc.
