Hi,
XAT eligibility does not ask for any experience. Its the colleges who does.
Eligibility criteria for XAT 2018:
Recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
Final year students can also (completing final examination by June 2018) can also apply.
The eligibilty for XLRI programmes like Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Management (BM) is similar. Candidates with three years of work experience will be given preference in Global Business Management.
NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT scores.

Eligibility criteria for XAT 2018:
Recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
During admissions in college, weight for academic and work experience is 5%, essay, and GK-10%, XAT scores - 65% and GD/PI-20%.

Students have to apply for different colleges on the basis of the score they get. Different institutes accept different scores and after accepting the score, they call for the second round which consists of group discussions and interview.

A higher score is always better. Your academic profile is great. You must target for at least 95 percentile in XAT to get any of the above disciplines.

There is nothing such thing called important topics. This view depends upon the preparation of the exam you are taking. There are a number of exams conducted in India for the MBA. Exams like CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, IBSAT, NMAT, SNAP, etc., have some minor tweaking and variations apart from the main sections. XAT is easy as compared to CAT. I was also a student who prepared for XAT immediately after my graduation. The important things which you should look into while preparing for this exam are as follows:
