XAT is easy to crack. 3 months hard work will help you. Xavier's Aptitude Test is one of the exams that all students will try. The syllabus is like this:
Language Comprehension
Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation
Logical Reasoning
General Awareness
These are the major questions which will be asked for XAT.
XAT is completely online exam.
The exam is divided in 4 sections with 25 MCQs in each section. Total questions are 100. All questions will carry equal marks in XAT. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and there will be negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
So I suggest you to try and attend mock test as much as possible. Some of the tips which I suggest you to clear the exam are as follows:
1. Select one of the best coaching centers which offer quality education- TIME is one of the famous coaching centers for CAT and XAT.
2. Dedication- Be focused on the aim which you need to achieve.
3. Try to read Hindu newspaper editorial. Most of the passages which appear in XAT are from Hindu editorial.
4. Try to do a maximum number of online mock tests. You will definitely clear XAT by doing the above.
5. Try to read as much as you can and make note of points.
6. Revision of each week topics is very important.
7. Mathematical ability questions will be little-twisted try to do as faster as you can.

So, you have to prepare accordingly for these exams either by taking coaching classes or correspondence course or by self-preparation or by following recommended books. After you have prepared for the most difficult level questions, you may try to get some question banks for the specific exam you are targeting either offline mode I.e. books on exams or online mode i.e. free question banks websites or paid question banks for practice.

First, decide yourself what you want to do MBA or job, because if you are planning for a good college then I would rather suggest you to study for CAT exam with complete dedication of taking admission this year. CAT needs a lot of practice and study to get admission in good colleges. If you waste time in deciding these confusions you will not able to give CAT exam at good stage. So I would suggest start preparing for CAT entrance exam with complete dedication and Self-motivation. Then if you get a very good score go for TOP MBA colleges to complete your goal and if unfortunately you couldn't able to crack CAT exam then you can go for any suitable job for one year then you will have time and you can prepare will for next CAT exam.
While doing your final year you will have a flow of study for CAT and at least you will not waste a year for preparation of CAT.

Hi, there's no formula to avoid common mistakes in any exam. But these points might help you stay calm during the exam.
It is important that you practice lot of mocks and papers before the main exam. This will give you confidence and sense of familiarity during the paper.
Practicing will also give you the mistakes that you keep committing every now and then. Commit as many mistakes as you can in first few mocks. More you practice, sooner will you run out of common mistakes to commit.
Dont stress out. If you feel the paper is way too tough or way too easy for what youve practiced, dont worry about it. The general trend will be the same and so your score will be normalised accordingly. Just keep attempting as many as you can. If you keep this in mind while taking the exam, you won't stress out and hence you won't commit silly mistakes.
