Yale Uni acceptance rate for the class of 2029 is around 4.6% meaning that of every 100 students who apply to the university only 4-5 students are likely to receive the opportunity to enroll themselves at the Yale University campus making the admission criteria of the uni extremely selective.

Thus it can be concluded that Yale University is indeed hard to get into.

To apply for Yale University financial aid include forms and documents submission, on the basis of the type of student. The common checklist of documents required for international students applying for a financial aid is given below:

  • Completion of CSS profile
  • Parent and student income documentation
  • After completing the CSS profile, submit all the requirements and details as mentioned via Yale's preferred submission method, IDOC.

Yes, Yale University accepts applications for UG courses via Common App from Indian applicants. Alternate methods are Coalition App / QuestBridge Application. A few of the entry requirements for UG international applicants are:

  • An application fee
  • School report with transcript
  • Standardized test result (if applicable)
  • English language proficiency score report: TOEFL / IELTS / Duolingo
  • Mid-year report & final report

Yale University follows a test-flexible policy for the submission of SAT / ACT scores. However, for the Class of 2029, students were required to submit SAT/ACT scores. Students can submit the same if they wish to. However, it was reported in Fall of 2025 that students have to submit ACT / SAT scores.
