For the two kinds of admission deadlines ED and RD for the Undergrad courses at Yale the decision dates and timelines vary,

Most of the Yale graduate programs

  • Graduate programs: Between Dec 1, 2025,  and  Jan 2, 2026

Yale School of Management (MBA 2026 Admissions) - 

  • Round 3: Apr 14, 2026
  • The decision deadline for round 2: Mar 19, 2026
  • The decision deadline for round 3: May 14, 2026

International students should know about the Yale University admission deadlines for applying to this university. For UG courses, there are two kinds of deadlines: the Early Decision (ED) and Regular Decision (RD). Students are recommended to apply for ED because the Yale acceptance rate is better for this one. Given below are the admission deadlines 2026 for this university -

International students generally need a GPA of around 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. They should be in the top 10% of your class. Not only a good GPA, they would also have to meet the given admission requirements - 

  • English language proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL)
  • Top notch essays, personal statement and extracurriculars
  • Very challenging classes in their previous coursework (honours, Andhra Pradesh or IB)

To rank universities like Yale, QS uses many parameters. The QS ranking releases an annual ranking report that is based on a methodology that is based on a lot of parameters like -

  • Academic reputation
  • Sustainability
  • Employer reputation
  • Employment outcomes 

As per QS,  Yale University ranks at 21 for the year 2026. This rank has improved by 2 spots from the last year rank of number 23

Yes, Yale University is a very prestigious university. It is a part of the Ivy League which is a group of elite private universities in the Northeastern side of the USA. 

According to the Yale University Quacquarelli Symonds Rankings, there is a reduction in the world university ranking of Yale. Earlier in 2025, it was #23 which increased to #21 in 2026
