What is BPEd Course at IGIPESS?
The Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) course is a graduation degree physical education course that is offered in distance mode by the Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (IGIPESS). The course is designed to train individuals in the fields of physical education, sports, and fitness. Similar to the BEd course whose objective is to prepare theory teachers, the objective of this program is to produce competent physical education teachers and sports professionals equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to promote physical fitness and sportsmanship.

- already passed or in final year
- atleast 19 years of age on 01.07.2025.
- submitting the passing certificate
The candidates must carry the listed documents while appearing for the LPUPET 2026 exam
- Printed copy of the LPUPET Hall Ticket

Note: Students interested in BPEd must not confuse IGIPESS with IGNOU. While searching for a BPEd course from IGNOU, they must not get confused. Students must know that IGNOU doesn’t provide a BPEd course as this course requires students to be available physically and it can’t be taught theoretically through distance medium.
