What is a BEd Course?
In order to apply for Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam, candidates were required to have passed the qualifying exam with minimum 50% marks. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria were supposed to fill the application form by visiting the official website of the exam. Aspirants should have cleared/appeared for their final year examination for BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BCA/ BBM at the time of APEdCET 2025 application form submission.
Aspirants should have secured at least 50 per cent marks either in the bachelor’s degree, that is, BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BCA/ BBM and/ or in the master’s degree in relevant subject or in a five-year integrated course in the relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, that is, SC, ST, BC and physically handicapped, are eligible to apply for the exam if they have secured at least 40 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
No, candidates from other states cannot apply for the Andhra Pradesh EDECET 2025 exam. The Andhra Pradesh EDCET 2025 exam is conducted only for the students who have domicile in Andhra Pradesh and have resided in Andhra Pradesh for at least 10 years or candidates whose parents, or spouses are State/Central Government employees or working in Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Government owned Universities and other quasi-public institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

What is a DEd Course?
A D.Ed. is a diploma program aimed at training individuals to become primary and elementary school teachers. It emphasizes foundational teaching skills and child development. It is a 2-year certificate-level teacher training program that equips candidates with the necessary knowledge to be better at elementary-level teachers' job roles which is from class I to VIII. D.Ed. focuses on foundational-level teaching.

As per the official brochure, the qualifying marks in Andhra Pradesh EdCET (except for SC/ST category candidates) are 37 out of total marks. For SC/ST category candidates, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. However, candidates can check the APEdCEt marking scheme as well here.
