Alagappa University is accredited by NAAC with an A+ Grade and its degree programmes are recognised by UGC. Alagappa University Karaikudi is ranked 47th by NIRF 2024 under the University category and 17th by NIRF 2024 under the State Public University. Alagappa University was established in 1985 and is located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.

Applicant must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board. For BSc in Physical Education admission, the applicant shall have passed the exam with 40% (35% for reserved category) aggregate with proficiency in sports.
