B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2023

Infrastructure is good but academics are not good.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed in our course. Other than this, some students were also recruited for irrelevant jobs. The average package was around 5 LPA. The highest package was about 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Accenture, Capgemini, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were extremely good. Our college had world class infrastructure. It provided Wi-Fi campus, big classroom, very furnished labs, and library with lots of books. Quality of hostel was also good. Limited sports facility was available. It had basic medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some were arrogant but most of them were very kind. The teaching quality of our faculty members was kind and innovative. Course curriculum was relevant. Semester examination was moderate.
Other: College had multiple arts and cultural events despite tech events.

B.Tech. in Mechanical and Automation Engineering - Batch of 2027

Absolutely satisfied because of campus and academics, good placement for B.Tech.
Placements: More than 70% of students got placed with a median salary of Rs 50,000 monthly. The highest package was around 7 LPA last year. The lowest was 4 LPA. Average was around 6 LPA. Volvo, Manhindra & Mahindra, Reliance, and Honda were the top recruiters. 100% of students were offered internships by IT companies like TCS, Wipro, etc. Core companies like Reliance, Mahindra, and Tata. Retail, operations, and QC/QA are the top roles along with some R&D.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, functional labs, spacious classrooms, centralized library, and canteen are available. Other high-quality facilities include hostel, ATM, cafe coffee day, water coolers, elevator, centralized air conditioning, clinic, sports complex including gym and swimming pool, basketball court, cricket pitch, football field, etc.
Faculty: Highly helpful, amiable, qualified, and knowledgeable faculty members are there throughout the departments. Course curriculum is relevant and apt as per the new education policy and other higher standards. It's optimised for making pupils industry-ready. Semester exams are medium difficult but are easy with a little effort in studying and being attentive in classes. Most times, less than 90% is the pass percentage.
Other: Campus life is enough to choose this college. Academics are an added bonus. Labs and practical classes should improve. Events happen all the time with Amiphoria fest once a year. Campus life is smooth and easy. Surroundings are aesthetic, green, and eco-friendly. Scholarship is easily awarded to eligible students. Extracurricular activities are facilitated through existing active clubs.

Placement is not good, and faculty members are not very supportive.
Placements: Placement is not good, and we need more recruiting companies here. Roles offered are not satisfying. Hoping for a better placement and top companies. As per the course fee, packages are not satisfying for technical roles offered by companies. Internship companies are very less.
Infrastructure: College is good, and the hostel infrastructure is good. Feels is little high though. Wi-Fi is good, classrooms and event organisation are average. The sports club and canteen are good, and the medical facilities are okay. Food quality and cost are good. Overall infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Teachers are not very supportive. Faculty members are good at teaching, but not supportive in terms of events or lectures, or in any medical emergency. They don't understand their responsibility that well and give less attention to students and co-curricular activities. Otherwise, courses are good.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2025

Great college life, average placement. Enjoyed 2 years of fests - Amity hosts the best in Kolkata.
Placements: 60-70% of students were placed in our MCA course. The highest package was 12 LPA offered by IBM, the average package was 5-6 LPA offered by some startup companies, and the lowest package ranged from 2.8 to 3.5 LPA. As far as I know, IBM was the top recruiting company. The college provides both paid and unpaid internships. For unpaid internships, you must pay the registration fees, and the same applies to paid internships. You may also receive performance-based offers or PPOs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is easily accessible throughout the Amity campus. The labs and classrooms are very good, and I can say the library is the best I have seen compared to other colleges. The facilities in our hostel are of high quality. The food in the canteen is much better than that in other college canteens, and the prices are affordable for everyone.
Faculty: In our MCA course, all the teachers are helpful. Every teacher holds a Ph.D. degree. The teaching quality is excellent, and the course curriculum is relevant. The teachers give their 100%, and if students do the same, they can become industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult; if you attend all classes and prepare well, you can pass easily.
Other: The best part of the university is the events it organizes. I have experienced the best fest in all of Kolkata.

I did a master's from Amity University, Kolkata.
Placements: Particularly in my course, there are no placements. However, for other departments, there are placements. Students get placements from top companies like Amazon, TCS, PwC, etc. Even if there are no placements offered in this course, one can still contact the placement cell and enquire about it.
Infrastructure: Amity University, Kolkata, has a huge campus and provides a lot of facilities. There are gallery classrooms, AC, Wi-Fi, a library, and labs. In total, there are 3 canteens on campus. There is also an infirmary on the campus with a nurse and a doctor present. Amity has a yearly sports fest called Sangathan.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Along with major subjects, they teach subjects like business communication, ethical guidelines, which are extremely helpful to make one industry-ready. There are internal exams and external exams. Semester exams are not so tough that one cannot pass. The pass percentage depends on the course.

A for-show university. Please avoid if you want to learn something apart from making reels.
Placements: No placement opportunities at the graduation level. At the master's level, some do get placements, but that is only 1 or 2. Before admission, they will give high hopes about 100% placements, but they are bogus. If you reach out off-campus, no reputed firm values your degree.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available inside classes most of the time. The library has multiple copies of a single book but no variety. Buildings have cracks and could fall apart any time. The canteen's food is good.
Faculty: Not at all at par with the public universities. Have unnecessary papers like business etiquettes instead of hardcore micro and macroeconomics. Learn from PPTs only, no holistic approach. When I went for my master's at Calcutta University, I had to learn everything from scratch.
Other: One of my seniors suggested me Amity. Better professors are required to make the students more knowledgeable about the subject. There is an annual event, Amiphoria, celebrated with great enthusiasm.
