The college is very strict when it comes to the eligibility requirements of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) at College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The candidate must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board, or have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The minimum age requirement is 17 years at the time of admission, and there is no upper age limit. For the Post Baccalaureate Pharm.D (3-year program), candidates must hold a B.Pharm degree from a recognised institution with at least 50% marks. Admission to the Pharm.D programme is generally based on performance in entrance examinations such as Andhra Pradesh EAPCET (for 6-year Pharm.D) or Andhra Pradesh PGECET (for Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate), followed by centralized counseling.
