In accordance with NCTE norms, regular teachers working in primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary schools in Tamil Nadu, recognized by State / Central government, with a minimum of two years teaching experience are only eligible.
The students must have a graduate degree from a recognized university under 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern.

The Minimum Eligibility to Apply is as below.
1. Qualification: class 12th with 50% marks
2. Mandatory Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
Candidate must have passed 10+2 along with mandatory subjects from a recognized board/university or authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent thereto are eligible to apply.
3. Age: Maximum 21 years
4. Other eligibility criteria:
Candidate who have given any other examination of any other authority accepted by the syndicate of the Anna University as equivalent thereto are also eligible to apply.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST, the age limit is relatable by three years.

However, all is not lost. Just apply on it's web portal and wait. There is something called all India quota that normally nobody talks about. Also colleges where seats are not filled invariably put pressure on government and finally some students do get admitted even if they do not belong to Tamil Nadu. It's only a gamble, but then it costs nothing. Do why not try it? Best wishes to you.
