Absolutely good college. Would give an overall 3/5.

Faculty: Helpful faculty, understanding and qualified. Teaching quality is good though mostly in Tamil. Semester exams are helpful in testing your skills. Balanced with difficult and easy questions can help score good grades. Pass percentage is decent or commendable.

Placements: 80% students get places at best companies. Not sure of the average package offered. Top recruiting companies include Samsung, Cisco, Qualcomm etc. Internships are quite weak will have to do it individually. Top roles include Software Enginee...

The college is good on a merit basis, but not suitable for NRI quota students.

Faculty: The quality of the teachers mostly depends on the individual. Faculty members cover up to 70% of the syllabus. The difficulty level of the semester exams depends upon the subject and department.

Placements: The placements are average in our department. Some of the top recruiting companies are Caterpillar, Hyundai, etc visit our college for recruitment and internships also offer which is good. But placement is average.

I am dissatisfied with the brand SRM because of huge fees structure and other unnecessary things.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is fine since they take classes using PowerPoint presentation and projectors. You cannot expect a high quality of teaching standard from every staff. The course curriculum is based on Anna University Course Curriculum, but the curriculum does not give much exposure. As the college is autonomous now, college might reframe the course curriculum for the next academic year that is for 2019 batch students.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members in our department are PhD holders, and they have good knowledge of the subject. Students can raise doubts whenever they want or ask them in their cabin during break hours. The curriculum is framed in such a way that students have only less gap between academic knowledge and industrial application. Respective lab sessions are planned for subjects taken during that term.

I'll go through a few key points of LPU, and I hope that helps. Automobile engineering benefits from LPU. Good placements in both core and software companies. Practical learning as well as informative guest talks. LPU provides a lot of opportunities to each and every eligible student for good placement. LPU is rated as 11th Best in India from Zee News Survey in Placements. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes they will help you in getting better placements, after all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. In LPU there are various companies that are mass recruiters of Automobile Engineers: Tata Motors Jamshedpur, Century Pulp & paper, Aeolus Aero-Tech Pvt Ltd, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles, Sonalika Agro Solutions Tractors Ltd, Chopra Industries PVT LTD, Ultratech cement Limited, Shiroki Technico India PVT limited, Imperial Society of innovative engineer, Visakha Container Terminal PVT LTD, Air India, Kartar, etc.
