Alliance University is one of the leading higher education institute of the country. The university with QpiAI, India’s pioneering homegrown quantum computing company announced a landmark strategic partnership.

The aim is to establish the Alliance University Quantum AI School for Advanced Research aka AU QUASAR Experience Centre. This will be situated at Alliance University’s upcoming Electronic City campus in Bengaluru. The initiative will give access to India’s first commercially available 8-qubit superconducting quantum computing system. This marks a significant milestone in India’s quantum technology journey.

Alliance University and QpiAI will jointly organise QpiAI’s scholastic flagship QVidya 8-qubit superconducting quantum system along with the QpiAI Explorer platform at the AU QUASAR facility. Located in the core of Bengaluru’s technology corridor, the centre will serve as a quantum-computing hub for over two hundred global technology companies, national defence and aerospace PSUs, along with India’s 8000+ start-up ecosystem. All the while aligning closely with the objectives of the National Quantum Mission.

The Pro-Chancellor of Alliance University, Mr. Abhay G Chebbi stated – 'AU QUASAR is not merely a reference installation; it is designed as a living model of academic industry collaboration in its truest sense. It will integrate degree programmes, research, enterprise engagement, and Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) under one roof. As one of the very few structured quantum education initiatives in India, AU QUASAR will help build the national quantum talent pipeline while creating sustainable commercial and research outcomes.'

‘This partnership embodies our vision of making quantum computing accessible to every Indian innovator, researcher, and enterprise,’ said Dr. Nagendra Nagaraja, Founder & CEO of QpiAI.

The AU QUASAR Experience Centre will offer:

  • Hands-on Quantum Computing access for academia, enterprises, and government
  • UG, PG, and PhD pathways in Quantum Computing, AI, and allied deep-tech fields
  • Collaborative research projects and proof-of-concept validation
  • QCaaS access for commercial and strategic clients

By combining infrastructure, curriculum, enterprise outreach, and real-system access, AU QUASAR aims to become one of India’s most visible and credible quantum computing platforms. This will bridge education, research, and commercialisation in a single ecosystem.

The facility is expected to become operational in the coming months and will serve as a scalable model for future quantum experience centres across the country.
