Alliance University & QpiAI Announce to Launch AU QUASAR - India’s First 8-Qubit Quantum Computing Experience Centre

The aim is to establish the Alliance University Quantum AI School for Advanced Research aka AU QUASAR Experience Centre.

The aim is to establish the Alliance University Quantum AI School for Advanced Research aka AU QUASAR Experience Centre. This will be situated at Alliance University’s upcoming Electronic City campus in Bengaluru. The initiative will give access to India’s first commercially available 8-qubit superconducting quantum computing system. This marks a significant milestone in India’s quantum technology journey.

Alliance University and QpiAI will jointly organise QpiAI’s scholastic flagship QVidya 8-qubit superconducting quantum system along with the QpiAI Explorer platform at the AU QUASAR facility. Located in the core of Bengaluru’s technology corridor, the centre will serve as a quantum-computing hub for over two hundred global technology companies, national defence and aerospace PSUs, along with India’s 8000+ start-up ecosystem. All the while aligning closely with the objectives of the National Quantum Mission.

The Pro-Chancellor of Alliance University, Mr. Abhay G Chebbi stated – 'AU QUASAR is not merely a reference installation; it is designed as a living model of academic industry collaboration in its truest sense. It will integrate degree programmes, research, enterprise engagement, and Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) under one roof. As one of the very few structured quantum education initiatives in India, AU QUASAR will help build the national quantum talent pipeline while creating sustainable commercial and research outcomes.'

  • QCaaS access for commercial and strategic clients

By combining infrastructure, curriculum, enterprise outreach, and real-system access, AU QUASAR aims to become one of India’s most visible and credible quantum computing platforms. This will bridge education, research, and commercialisation in a single ecosystem.

The facility is expected to become operational in the coming months and will serve as a scalable model for future quantum experience centres across the country.
