Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, and its student community witnessed a wonderful beginning of the year with a defining moment, when Mr. Kuldeep Yadav, International Cricketer and one of India’s most respected spin bowlers, officially joined Chandigarh University, Lucknow, as a student and simultaneously launched the CU Sports Scholarship that speaks directly to the future of sports-integrated education in India.

For many, the obvious question arises - Why would an established international cricketer who is already at the peak of his professional career choose to return to higher education? Mr. Kuldeep Yadav is a rare and highly effective left-arm wrist-spin bowler known for his deceptive variations, especially his lethal googly, and a capable left-handed batsman. He has occupied a special place in modern cricket with his enthusiasm, determination and continuous improvement. 

The most important moments in his international career are, namely, the multiple hat-tricks in the ODIs, the fastest Indian to get 100 ODI wickets, his contribution in two major ICC tournaments trophies, his international performance, and being a multi-format player. All these achievements fall under the umbrella of dynamic change, focus, and growth, an extension of culture also found at CU, UP.
