B.Sc. (Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry) - Batch of 2028
Offered by Kristu Jayanti College
1.8

It is really crowded, filled with a lot of students.
Placements: Being a first year, we have not yet come to placements, so I cannot give valid information about them. I heard about M.Sc. You've got companies like Eli Lilly coming up for placement opportunities. I am not sure about the percentage of students from my course, and I am not sure about the highest and lowest average packages as well.
Infrastructure: Student Wi-Fi cannot be accessed until you are in the second year, which we aren't even sure if we will receive. Labs are well occupied. To be honest, labs are pretty good. Science block classrooms are like a matchbox for 80 students in a class. Libraries are really good too. I am a day scholar, so not much to say about hostels. Canteens are good too.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, but a lot of them are too lazy to even teach the students, half of them just read out the PPTs. It is curriculum-relevant. I cannot assure whether it makes the student industry-ready theoretically, but practically, it does. The semester exams are easy if you have studied the content given on the website and have a basic knowledge of the concept.
Other: I chose this course because it was my passion, it was something which I wanted to do in future. I wanted to be part of the research field.
Proper facilities are something I wish I could have in my college case, all they do is read out the PPTs, you hardly find good teachers who actually explain the concept. There are events, fests and all of it, but to be part of a club is gonna be one of the hectic stuff, because most of it is gonna be occupied by seniors, you are hardly getting opportunities.

B.Sc. (Biotechnology, Genetics, Biochemistry) - Batch of 2028
Offered by Kristu Jayanti College
4.6
4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Kristu Jayanti University, good vibes and an overall satisfying experience.
Placements: In UG programmes, approximately 30% were recruited, however, in PG programmes, about 80% were recruited. For biotech companies, Biocon Syngene has recruited, and certain pharmaceutical companies like Novartis and Cipla also recruit. The university also has many collaborations with research institutions. Roles offered in my course are biotechnologist, research scientist, bioinformatics specialist, lab technician, etc. It's impossible to predict the placements from my course, as most companies require a minimum of a Master's in this course to get a placement. For M.Sc. in the same course, the placement rate was said to be around 90%.
Infrastructure: The facilities, like labs, are well maintained, high-end devices and instruments are available, the library has a lot of different books and books are provided. The food provided in the canteen is delicious, however, it is a little overpriced. The college has a separate arena for sports, which has cricket, football, etc. The college also has a gym, which has good equipment.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, most teachers have advanced degrees. They are very supportive and provide guidance regarding the course, and are often willing to help outside of class hours. The faculty actively includes students in research projects.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in biotech and genetics. Both biotech and genetics have rapidly expanding career opportunities, and the topics are really diverse and interesting, unlike other courses. Not only that, but since I chose this course, I get to pursue my master's in either of the three subjects, biotech, genetics and biochem.

Master of Business Administration (MBA Professional) - Batch of 2023
Offered by East Point Group of Institutions
3.4

Teachers' transparency sometimes hits hard.
Placements: The placements for the discipline of MBA are not so good. Placement offices have to be panicked during the time of drives, by explaining the competition and risk in drives. Even though we are provided with repeated training, the companies show less interest in hiring the students of the MBA. As 42% to 45% of students only got placed in the drives.
Infrastructure: Even though ragging is banned in colleges, we see a small group of such behaviour in the initial period of college. The zone of mess is a peaceful environment, even preferred to study over the area. The management integrated students from distinct branches by initiating various socially responsible activities.
Faculty: Teachers are more transparent in evaluating the papers, and they are ready to point out the reasons for their evaluation. Teachers broke the students' confidence by underestimating our performance in academic areas as well as in any other research activities.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2028
Offered by New Horizon College, Kasturinagar
3.6
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Overall, it is worth it if you are self-driven.
Placements: Around 80% students got placement in BCA. The highest package went 8 LPA. TCS, Wipro etc., recruited. Software Engineer, backed designer roles offered. Overall, it's a good college if you are willing to study they have good labs, and staff is quite good, but the campus is too small main function done in Marathahalli .
Infrastructure: At New Horizons, Kasturinagar, the facilities are fairly good. Classrooms are clean, have projectors, and Wi-Fi is available, though sometimes the speed can be patchy. The computer labs are updated with enough systems, so practical work is comfortable. The library is well-stocked with academic books and also offers a calm space for self-study. Hostel facilities are decent. Rooms are maintained regularly, but they feel a bit compact. The mess food is average, it's hygienic, but gets repetitive at times. The canteen helps when you need a change, though options are limited. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers at New Horizons, Kasturinagar, are generally helpful and approachable. Most of them are qualified and explain concepts clearly, though teaching quality can vary from faculty to faculty. The BCA curriculum is relevant and covers programming, databases, and emerging tech, which helps in building industry skills, but extra practice and internships are still needed to be job-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Not too easy, not overly tough. And with proper preparation, most students pass without much stress. The overall pass percentage is quite high, so consistency matters more than last-minute study.
Other: Chose this course because of my interest in programming and IT. The best part is the practical exposure through labs and an updated syllabus. However, I wish there were more industry tie-ups and real projects. The college organises cultural fests and tech events, and the campus crowd is decent, with students from different backgrounds. Connectivity is good since the campus is in the city, though surroundings can get crowded. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are available, but could be more diverse. Overall, a balanced student environment.

Well-acquired campus with helpful teachers and career growth.
Placements: The placement opportunities in the college are good. Many reputed companies visit every year. They are giving students a chance to start their careers well. The placement cell provides useful training, mock interviews, and resume support. Many students get placed with good packages.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure for our course. It has well-equipped classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi that support learning. The hostel is clean and safe. They provide proper food, water, and electricity. Overall, it provides a comfortable stay and a good study environment.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly. The curriculum is updated and covers both the theory and practical needs of the course. The exams are fair. Mostly based on what is taught in class, and students get enough time and guidance to prepare well.

Hey Manasa,
Certainly, even with four backlogs, you can still finish your B.S. at Bengaluru North University. Before applying to any colleges, though, you must complete all unfinished business. Checking the specific requirements for the course and university you're interested in is important because
