College life at BIT Mesra, BIT Hub.
Placements: The placement for this batch is going well, just as good as it goes for the previous batch. Renowned companies visit the campus for both circuital and non-circuital placements, including De Shaw, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, NatWest, Flipkart, ZS, Cisco, Visa, UKG, Razorpay, Warner Bros, Paytm, Uber, Walmart, Oracle, etc. Students get commendable placements and internships based on their hard work and resumes. Some students also crack off-campus placements. In the previous batch, the highest package received is 1.45 crore at Rubrik with an average of 11 LPA. Over 200 recruiters make 1080 offers.
Infrastructure: The campus is huge and spacious with a comfortable arena comprising cafes, shops, and food trucks. The campus has 13 hostels, 2 for girls and the rest for boys. The quality of the mess food varies, from delicious on some days to average on others. The sports complex is well-constructed, large, and includes various sports grounds, including a cricket oval. Gyms are also provided. The campus has an in-built dispensary with 24/7 medical assistance and ambulance facilities. Campus Wi-Fi is available 24/7.
Faculty: Faculty is quite supportive and friendly. The professors are knowledgeable, approachable, informative, and provide vast professional opportunities. Seniors are helpful too, guiding us throughout. There are different machines, labs, and research and development buildings. We have mid-semester exams of 25 marks and end-of-semester exams of 25 marks. The rest is evaluated based on quizzes of 10 marks each and assignments. Lab marks are evaluated based on lab performance, lab viva, and lab quizzes. The overall pass percentage is around 40. Maintaining 75 percent attendance is mandatory.
Other: Maybe the overall maintenance of the infrastructure could be improved, but our college does regular work on it. We have a cultural fest, BITOTSAV, and a tech fest, Pantheon. BITOTSAV is a four-day event with heritage night, cultural evening, cool mornings, and fantastic afternoons, and it ends with an amazing and electrifying concert. The tech fest combines cultural evenings, performances, events, and hackathons with DJ nights. Scholarships are also provided based on CG.

My college is very good. You will enjoy the college. It has very good placements.
Placements: College has very good placements. Almost every student gets placed. In my course, everyone gets placed at the end. The top company, Microsoft, also come. Job profiles are mostly in tech jobs, with very few jobs in the core sector. Internship is gained by almost 10 percent, which is very low.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure. All facilities like Wi-Fi, classrooms with digital electronics and computers, and well-equipped labs are available. The classrooms are spacious with proper seating. The college has a very big library for studying. There are multiple mess facilities and canteens on the campus. Hospital is also available within the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Infact, they all are holding masters and are Ph.D. qualified. The quality of teaching is good, but not at top level. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready. Most students get pass in the semester exams

Mediocre college, but expensive.
Placements: Placement percentages are being regraded at my college. The average package is around 13 LPA. The highest package in my branch is 58 LPA. Around 60 percent of students are placed. College do provide good internship opportunities, but there is heavy competition in that. Most students go for off-campus internships. Core companies like NXP provide FTE. A lot of students go for tech roles too.
Infrastructure: Some labs are modernized, while some are not. Classrooms have ACs, though there may be power cuts. The library is decent. Hostel rooms are tiny for double sharing. The hostel floor is just bearable. A dispensary is available, which gives us free medical care. A huge sports complex with almost all sports equipment is present.
Faculty: Curriculum is regularly revised. Most faculty members are good in terms of behavior and knowledge. Semester exams have no gap, therefore making it a hectic week. Two quizzes take place between mid-semester and end-semester because of the grading, things are now bearable.
Other: Our main event is Bitotsav. Other than that, we have a tech event Pantheon.

BIT, Mesra, unbiased review.
Placements: Placements are decent, comparable to tier 2 NIT. Overall, the college is able to get good companies on campus, and the coding culture is good, so you would be able to get a good placement if you work hard. Placement of CSE, ECE, and AIML is best among all branches. There are lots of clubs that help in improving personality. The max package was around 1.2 crores, and the average is 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite decent, like hostels are okay, not like something fancy modern build, but decent enough to live in, and the weather here is the best. Ranchi, as a city, would never disappoint you. You have one bed, a table, and LAN facilities only in the hostel. Mess food is best compared to any college.
Faculty: Overall, the teacher is qualified, and the best part is that you will get plenty of time during summer and winter break to do whatever you want to improve your skills. Semester exams are decently difficult, not that easy, not that hard. Getting 7 is easier than NITs.
Other: If you are getting CSE, ECE, or AIML, then go for it and for the rest of the branch, if you are from an above-average middle-class family, you can consider.

Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computing - Batch of 2029

Absolutely dissatisfied with some faculty, average placement in 2024.
Placements: Average, but IMSC students' placement is not described in their brochure properly, so I can't say anything about it, although you can do well if you work hard. The rest of the course is good, including both the technical skills and mathematics in depth, and a little bit of Physics and Chemistry for the first 2 years.
Infrastructure: Average, like it's decent in the 1st year, but with the upcoming years, you have to change hostels every year, and it'll get worse one by one. Rooms are very small, and for 2 students, there's only 1 table and chair. Wi-Fi doesn't work properly and many sites are banned.
Faculty: Some are good, but some are the worst case, some are too irritating, like they have no common sense and don't understand students' feeling. They don't support students, as their only motive for them is attendance and attendance only. One of the female teachers of the MnC department is very strict with students who lick her feet.
Other: It's a good course, the only drawback is that it's not a B.Tech course.

The college has good placements but high fees. If you can afford it, you can go for this.
Placements: Placements were quite good in 2024. The mechanical engineering program got a placement rate of 85 percent with an average package of 10 LPA. There is also good scope in the non-core field. Many students got placed in the non-core field. Seniors are helpful. You can definitely ask them for guidance.
Infrastructure: The hostel is decent. We got a double-sharing room, but the room is a little small. The college has a table tennis room, a TV room, and an area where we can play badminton/volleyball. There are many food stalls on campus. The classroom is decent. There is a sports complex where you can play most of the games.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable for sure, but some of them are not quite helpful, but some really are. Exams are strict. The course curriculum is quite similar to that of other colleges. In the first year, all branches have a common syllabus. Labs are strict, and there is a 75 percent criterion.
