If you are very much interest in CS then go for it. And if you want to go to IIT then you should join IIT Kanpur or SEE if any other branch you can get try for chemical engineering. The placements and internship stats are excellent at IIT Kanpur. Also most of the company are open to all the branches but sometime priority are give to the branch if everyone is equally talented. Some of MSE courses are difficult to handle but if your CPI is 10 in the first two semester then you can get CSE too. In the first two semester all the branches have same courses. Branch wise courses starts from 3rd semester onwards. Also IIT Kanpur offer double major or minor in every branch and you can do double major along with MSE and pursue you interest. For BITS your BITSAT score will be considered for admission. You can appear in the counseling process which starts in mid of October. After counseling, you will get a clear picture of the branch as it tends to change every year. Your JEE is irrelevant to your admission to BITS as it is not considered. All the best!
